According to General Mohammed Tawfiq, head of the Al Wadi Al Gadid Security Department, the terrible accident happened when the speeding truck slammed into the bus carrying passengers on the El Kharga-El Dakhla Road in the New Valley in the south of Egypt Western Desert.
The dead include the transport driver and four passengers, who passed on instantly.
As many as 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to move the injured to close medical clinics. The 25 individuals supported moderate to extreme wounds and are being dealt with, according to health authorities.
