Sahel: Macron announced the end of operation Berkhane

According to the French president, the continuation of military commitment in Sahel "will not be in the same way", with more details to be announced by the end of June.
President Emmanuel Macron has said that France's military operation in the Sahel region will change its current form, by being replaced with another mission, in which the French troops will rely on other partners.
Currently, France has about 5,100 soldiers located in the Sahara Desert as part of Operation Berkhane, with headquarters in N'Djamena, the Chadian capital.
